Lucknow Metro has achieved many National and International recognition, honour and award in a very short span of time which shows its sincere efforts and dedication towards its goal.

Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) was awarded in the category ofBest Urban Mass Transit Projectfor its commendable initiatives in being the fastest constructed, executed & implemented metro project in the country with innovations in energy saving, promotion and awareness campaigns, route rationalization and last mile connectivity at the 12th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2019 held from 15th to 17th November at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow organized by Institute of Urban Transport (India).

LMRC awarded with ‘Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)- Gold Award’ 2019 for entire North-South corridor (Phase-1A) in the Project/Infrastructure category in recognition of its safe practices and achievements during the execution of the Project.

The British Safety Council bestowed Lucknow Metro with “International Safety Award, 2019” in the category of the Project/Infrastructure for demonstrating a strong commitment to good health & safety management during the construction of entire 23 km long North-South Corridor (Phase 1A).

On 10th January,2019 LMRC was awarded with the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certificate in recognition of the organisation’s Environmental Management System, ISO 14001:2015 in recognition of the organisation’s Environmental Management System and Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001:2007 certificate for the operation and maintenance of its priority Corridor (from Transport Nagar to Charbagh) and Metro Depot.

The International Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has given Silver Award to Lucknow Metro for its Phase 1A (North-South Corridor) in the Project/Infrastructure category for year 2018. With this, Lucknow Metro has become the first ever Metro project from India to receive this award in recognition of its safe practices and achievements in helping its staff/customers/clients/contractors while they worked in the project during its execution.

On 23rd February, 2018,Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) won the ‘Technology Sabha Award, 2018’ in the Wireless Category for linking Wi-Fi services with its GoSmart Card & its informative and useful pubic website. This award was given by the Indian Express Group during 23rd edition of the Technology Award at Indore (Madhya Pradesh). This award is in recognition to Lucknow Metro’s smart initiatives introduce efforts in the use of innovative technology for the benefit of the public.

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) – one of the apex body in India to rate and certify a system as a ‘Green’ system – has certified LMRC a “Green Metro Rail System”, thereby, awarded platinum certificate to all its 21 Metro stations on the ‘North-South Corridor’ from CCS Airport to Munshipulia. All 8 stations of the priority section of North-South corridor from Transport Nagar to Charbagh had already been awarded with ‘Platinum Certificate’ in 2017.

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has won the prestigious Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) (Lucknow) – Ultra tech award for outstanding concrete structure, 2018 in the category of Infrastructure Project. The award has been given by the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) – a registered professional body - dedicated to the cause of concrete construction, design and research in India. This award has been presented to LMRC for building quality concrete structure for the ‘Priority Section’ between Transport Nagar and Charbagh.

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) – one of the apex body in India to rate and certify a system as a ‘Green’ system – has certified LMRC a “Green Metro Rail System”, thereby, awarding platinum certificate to all its eight Metro stations on the ‘Priority Corridor’ from Transport Nagar to Charbagh on 31st August, 2017

The Metro Stations and the Transport Nagar Metro depot have been designed and built as ‘Green’ buildings in accordance with the standards of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

This is highest green rating for any civil structure or building which has been awarded to LMRC. With this, LMRC has become the 1st government entity in Lucknow region and 1st one in transport sector in U.P. to attain Indian Green Building Council’s Platinum Certification. LMRC is, thus, taking forward the mission of “Cleaner and Greener Uttar Pradesh” in the area of mass rapid transport system.

Apart from this, on the occasion of the World Environment Day on 5th June, 2017, LMRC was awarded with the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004 & the Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001:2007 certificates in recognition of the organisation’s integrated management system which complies with the ISO & OHSAS standards and requirements.

On 6th November, 2017, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) conferred with a special award for its commendable initiative in the category of "Best Urban Mass Transit" for the ‘Lucknow Metro Rail Project Phase 1A (North – South Corridor)’ during the valedictory session of the 10th Urban Mobility India Conference & Exhibition and CODATU XVII Conference held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad (Telangana).
This project has been selected for award being the only Metro system in India to have completed the present operational phase within time frame and with innovative contracting mechanism for rolling stock and signalling, which helped to deliver services before time.

On 2nd November, 2017, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) won the renowned Dun & Bradstreet Infra Award, 2017 in the Metro Rail category for completing the 8.5 km “Priority Corridor” of the North –South Corridor (Phase 1A) and commissioning the project in a record time of less than three years. It is yet another credential for Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) which speaks a volume about the quality infrastructure work done for operating a Metro Rail Project in an unprecedented timeline of less than three years while mitigating cost overruns.

On 11th March, 2016, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) was adjudged the Best Metro project for ‘Excellence in Innovative Designs’ for its unique features incorporated for Metro Stations. Lucknow Metro has adopted sustainable and green constructionmethodology/practices and has followed it during civil construction throughout the Project, thereby, achieving excellence in green and sustainable build. The award was given by ITP Publishing Group to LMRC at the 5th Annual Metro Rail India Summit, 2016, organized at New Delhi.

LMRC has awarded with “Excellence in Green & Sustainable Build” by the ITP Publishing Group for adopting sustainable and green construction methodology/practices and following it during civil construction throughout the Metro project in Lucknow.

On 12th December, 2016, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC), was awarded with the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) Choice Prize Award 2016 under the Gold category in Berlin (Germany).

The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) is an organisation headquartered in Lausanne (Switzerland). It is dedicated to quality improvement techniques, recognition and research. It recognises excellence, disseminates innovation and visionary thinking, spreads knowledge and shares conformity assessment practices.

On 15th October, 2016, Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, LMRC was awarded with the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Award on Innovation in Governance. This honour assumes much of significance to Lucknow Metro as it is the first Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Award on Innovation in Governance and it has been bestowed to Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) among various other nominations from reputed organisations in the country. It is yet another achievement and public recognition for Lucknow Metro as the Corporation's sincere effort and dedication in innovation in governance and project completion is recognised in such a glorious way at the national level.

For the unique features of the Metro Train (Rolling Stock), Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) was adjudged the Best Metro Project for 'Excellence in Innovative Designs' at the 5th Annual Metro Rail India Summit, 2016 organized at New Delhi on 11th March, 2016.

The Confederation of Indian Industry - Indian Green Building Council (CII-IGBC) applauded Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) for leading the green building movement in Lucknow by promoting a cleaner and greener environment while executing a green mode of public transport in the city.

On 30th May, 2016, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) was honoured with the ''International Quality Summit (IQS) Award 2016'' for quality, innovation and excellence in Metro project execution under Gold Category by Business Initiative Directions (BID) Group One - an international organization involved in promoting quality culture, innovation and excellence - headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

On 21st December, 2015, Shri Kumar Keshav was awarded with coveted 'Shan-E-Lucknow' award by the organisers of the Lucknow Book Fair in recognition of his outstanding contribution to city of Lucknow by gifting the capital with Lucknow Metro- the pride of the city.

The Indian Postal Department honored Lucknow Metro during the Lucknow Book Fair, 2015 by releasing a special Indian Postal envelope cover bearing the logo, symbol and mnemonic of Lucknow Metro along with the symbol of Lucknow Book Fair. So far, no other Metro in India has been honoured in such a prestigious way by the Indian Postal Department.

Ms. Pratibha and Ms. Prachi Sharma, two of the Lucknow Metro Station Controllers cum Train Operators (SCs/TOs), have been awarded with the prestigious Rani Laxmi Bai Bravery Award, 2016 by Shri Akhilesh Yadav, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh for being the first Train Operators during the trial run of Lucknow Metro train on 1st December, 2016. It is a great honour for Lucknow Metro as the female employees of the organisation felicitated with this award even before the public run of Metro train.
